“While replacing our roof, we were made aware of a code violation when a 1.25" roofing nail pierced the 3/4" refrigerant line that had been installed against the sheathing of our roof. Installation code required 1.5" of clearance for all refrigerant lines from any roof sheathing. When asked to remedy the situation, Bruening ignored our questions and also ignored multiple requests for their insurance information to file a construction defect claim and wanted to charge us $1805 to replace or repair the line. There was no difference in pricing for either service. We have since had a reputable local company repair the line. We were also provided with a pre-dated service visit invoice and were told that the technician "simply forgot" to tell us the payment was due during the visit. The date of the invoice was not changed to reflect the date received. The practices of ignoring insurance requests, allowing improper installation without informing the homeowners of potential future issues, and passing off billing policies as acceptable due to employee forgetfulness are reasons that we will never use Bruening again.”

“Exceptional! Emergency AC, called and talked to Brittany. Very professional and listened to my problem and assured me she’d have a tech out today. Kept in touch to keep me updated on when they would arrive. Young men were very courteous and professional. Fixed it had it up and running in no time! Thank you, Bruenning, job well done!!”

“Heat pump coils replaced about a year ago, just never seemed to be functioning quite right. Bruening's came back several months later and went through diagnostic and really didn't find anything wrong just reading a low coolant. Last week outside unit began frosting up Bruening sent Jared He worked on this unit for several hours comparing his work with Marty over the phone. Jared continued to work dedicated to finding the problem. Jared answered every question I ask of him, listened to everything I described to him. Jared never made me feel stupid for what I asked. Finally found the issue and part ordered, Marty installed the next day,, Unit has been functioning for over a week and running great. My compliments to the Bruening team for service and experience. If you have any issues give them a call”

“I have used Bruening since we moved back here after living in Florida for a while. We wanted to come home and our mobile still has the original A/C 1984 , Bruening has kept it running for all these years. One day "soon" I will need them to install a new A/C but thanks to one of their service men , I never get the names , this won't be the year.”

“Installation was great. They were fast and knowledgeable. We like our new system however it doesn’t seem to be regulating the heat correctly. I have spoke with Bruening several times about the problem. They helped me trouble shoot via phone but when problem still not resolved they offered to look at it next time they were in my area. This has been several weeks and still no help.
I would have hoped that after buying an expensive system they they would have been as eager to insure we were pleased.”

“Chad Bruening came to my home to give me an estimate to replace the HVAC in my home. Chad took time to show me what was wrong with my current furnace and explained my options in detail so I understood what the cost were going to be. Chad also told me about the Ameren Illinois Energy Efficiency Program. Through this program and with Chad's effort I was able to replace my gas furnace at no cost. I also want to thank the guys that came to install the furnace, they worked very hard to get the furnace installed and operating correctly in one day. “Replace of 2 Heat Pumps after 16 years, installation went extremely well. 1 Pump didn’t seem to function as it should I spoke with Marty on a Saturday and he actually listened to me, called me back first thing Monday and sent Jared to do a complete diagnostic, Jared extremely knowledgeable and able to answer any questions that I asked. Problem found and reset thermostat. Thanksgiving day all pumps working well and very quiet and the house is warm. Thank You for your great service.”

“Tired of my Bryant HVAC draining condensation through a hose to a floor drain, I called to ask about solutions. They were very attentive, answered questions by phone, scheduled a time for a Tech to stop by and a pump was installed the same day.

The Tech was on time, professional, and courteous. He double checked his work to ensure it works properly, has no leaks and he didn’t leave a mess! I highly recommend.”

Like all of the Bruening technicians, Jared did a very thorough inspection, completely answered all our questions, and gave us tips on how to keep our units in excellent working order.

The office staff at Bruening, as always, was especially courteous and professional but exceptionally personable. They kept us informed of a delay in getting to the appointment and wanted to make sure a later time was convenient for us. They always treat you as good friends and with a very positive and thankful manner.
